PAM SHORE
Pam is a certified teacher that has taught at the Dover Adult Learning Center for ten years. Pam currently teaches GED, ESOL, and Adult Basic Education classes for the Center. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Pam is also the College Transition Coordinator for the Learning Center.
If you have your GED, Adult High School diploma, or earned your high school diploma three or more years ago, this is the class for you. This class will allow you to “brush up” on things you may have forgotten (fractions anyone?) or master things you didn't get to while in school (essay writing?). This class will allow you to explore different paths to assist you in taking the next step in your life. The class will discuss different careers and have guest speakers. Students will also take the Accuplacer Test. This is the test required by most New Hampshire community colleges. The class will be designed around the needs of the students in the class. Homework will be given, however there won't be detentions! Interested students need to make an appointment with counselor Pam Shaw @ 742-1030 to complete an application and interview for acceptance into the class.
