Our most important mission is to offer adults throughout Strafford County a second chance at learning, an opportunity to improve basic skills and to earn a high school credential. Adult Basic Education and English for Speakers of Other Languages students will find many choices – small classes at different times of the day at various locations in Dover, Farmington and Rochester as well as the option of working with a volunteer tutor through the Strafford County Adult Tutorial Program. We offer personal enrichment classes for all adults – from astronomy to whittling, international hors d'oeuvres to drawing, photography to financial planning. If you have an interest in teaching such classes, we welcome a call. Our personal enrichment classes include 300 instructor-facilitated on-line courses.  I invite you to check out this smorgasbord of opportunities, ranging from professional development training to Wine Appreciation.  You can go directly to our Web site: http://www.ed2go.com/dalcsc/ Our computer classes range from the most basic CyberSeniors introductory classes for people 50+ to Access for Current Users, digital photography and Professional Track training in Microsoft Office applications. Our ten-station computer lab has Office 2003 and provides high-speed cable access to the Internet.  Each year we serve more than 200 international students who take our English for Speakers of Other Languages classes in Dover. Students come from as far away as Indonesia and from as near as Mexico and Canada. Finally, we manage the driver education for Dover High School.
